Description:

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Manage the submission process for Transport Canada approvals of all training curriculum modifications.
  • Define, Initiate, coordinate the development process for all fleet recurrent training programs.
  • Oversee the process and engage stakeholders to ensure deliverables (scripts, matrices, testing) are completed on time.
  • Generate all required documentation for training curriculum submission to Transport Canada for approvals.
  • Oversee the change process for curriculum amendments and ensure all required documents and databases are updated to reflect the changes.
  • Engage required parties (safety, scripting, fleet, AQP) to provide information needed for development of recurrent training material.
  • Coordinate with Training Managers and Fleets to ensure proper resources are allocated for development of recurrent training material.
  • Develop and maintain department process manuals for all job functions within the AQP team.
  • Monitor Transport Canada regulatory requirements and communicate amendments to training programs as necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Assess and report to the Manager, AQP any impact of changes to regulations, operating rules, or related regulatory guidance that will affect pilot training.
  • Develop reports on training development initiatives for participation in annual and quarterly AQP meetings as required.
  • Ensure all AQP training curriculum are maintained in compliance with Transport Canada regulations and AQP policy through detailed understanding of Training regulations.
  • Accurately maintain the AQP training curriculum databases to ensure lessons and graded items comply with regulatory approved curriculum.

Qualifications

  • University Entrance minimum, university or college diploma an asset. Ability to communicate in both written and oral English at an advanced level (University degree or equivalent). Proven teamwork, managerial, and administrative skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access or other database programs.
  • Advanced ability to use MS office suite including PowerPoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of Transport Canada aviation regulations and pilot training requirements.
  • Technical writing skills are an asset.
