Reports To: VP of Analytics
Location: Flexible - offices in Seattle, WA and Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

What You’ll Do:

As an Advanced Analytics Consultant, you will contribute to both the advanced analytics practice at Hypothesis, as well as serving as the quantitative expert to various project teams who conduct our research studies. Specifically, within this job you will…

  • Understand and perform classic marketing research methods with complete autonomy (e.g. TURF, correlation/regression/derived importance, factor analysis, association maps, structure equation modeling)
  • Understands and perform more complex market research analytics with some guidance(e.g. cluster analysis, including people/occasion segmentation, conjoint and discrete choice)
  • Participate in the execution of ad-hoc analytic offerings in customer analytics, user experience, and fusion analytics that utilize machine learning, data query and automation techniques to bridge primary research data and behavior/database data
  • Serve as the internal partner and analytic consultant to the Hypothesis project team, working with them to be a resource for questionnaire development, analytics methodologies, timelines, and story points/implications.
  • Create Excel deliverables, simulators and reporting tools that can be client-ready (after project team notes and design team assistance) with minimal input direction from senior BT staff.
  • Participate in client calls as the analytics representative to advise regarding study approach decisions, data interpretation, and implications.
  • Manage multiple project commitments at the same time, raising time concerns about project timing weeks in advance to the senior members of the BT, so we can work together to resource our commitments.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience conducting statistical analysis with one of the following R, Python, SAS or Matlab. Can create successful codes from scratch. Visual Basic, SQL or SPSS a plus.
  • Able to write clear and professional emails both internally and to clients.
  • Able to quickly diagnose problems in a large dataset, summarize implications and prescribe solutions.
