Description:

Are you a qualified Nurse / OT / Social Worker with experience working with young people looking for a new and rewarding role within a multi-disciplinary team?
Would you like to work within a team of likeminded professionals who are passionate about early intervention?
Here in the Mental Health Support Team in Slough we are looking for an Advanced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team on a part time basis.
Within these role you will be line managing, supervising & working closely with your Slough Getting Help Team colleagues & the Team Lead to provide mental health consultations and advice to partner agencies, including the Slough Early Help team, Youth Offending Teams & CAMHS pathways.
You will also provide assessments & short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. You will promote the emotional wellbeing & mental health of young people in educational settings and provide outreach support to promote engagement, where needed.
We are big on staff development and can offer internal and external training opportunities. Operational management & clinical supervision will be provided within Berkshire Healthcare CAMHS.
The service operates Monday to Friday 9 – 5 and your role will be a mix of face to face appointments but also leave room for home working. You will be in charge of managing your own diary.
Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems
Short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, as appropriate)
To offer training, consultation and supervision to external agencies with regards to the mental health presentation of children and young people who are accessing the MHST.
Ensuring liaison and joint working between the Getting Help / MHST and the locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.
Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
