Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse with considerable advanced nursing skills in medical and clinical oncology to join our Gynaecological team. The post holder has a distinct level of responsibility to patients with Gynaecological tumours in providing a comprehensive advanced nursing service to the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, working within a team of advanced practice nurses.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, and experienced, who enjoys patient contact and working in a multi-disciplinary environment to support the delivery of a quality service. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, flexibility, and reliability and have an organised approach to work.
Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for a dependable and highly adaptable individual who works independently and has the ability to fit in quickly as part of a team.
Routine follow-up of patients in the gynaecology medical and clinical oncology attending outpatient consultant-led treatment and follow up care
Assist medical team with the management of inpatients when required
Act as a highly specialised role model and leader for all members of staff

Uses best evidence, advanced specialist skills, knowledge and expertise to provide expert clinical care for patients with a gynaecology malignancy.
When required, support the medical team to manage the routine care of gynae-oncology in-patients. Liaise with teams in order to help improve the coordination of the in-patient experience.
Participate in gynae Medical and clinical Oncology clinics; use protocolised pathways to ensure best/equitable practice. Appropriate patients will be selected by the Consultant
