Description:

You will be delivering an advanced level clinical pharmacy service to patients based in the Gastroenterology ward and you will be a highly specialised pharmacy resource in this area, giving expert advice and dealing with complex medicines information queries.
You will be responsible for the provision and development of range of aseptically prepared products whilst maintaining the safe and effective running of the Aseptic unit. You will be working alongside an experienced 8a Aseptic services Pharmacist and a dedicated technical aseptic team.

Full Time and Part Time hours considered.

  • To act as a highly specialised pharmacy resource for Gastroenterology giving expert advice and dealing with complex medicines information queries.

To lead aseptic services in accordance with national and corporate standards, regulation and priorities in order to ensure the safe, efficient and efficacious preparation of medicines
To lead on the drug cost- improvement programme for the Business Group.
To act as a role model for clinical pharmacy practice and to provide training for medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in the specialist areas.
To attend appropriate meetings within the Business Group to discuss pharmacy issues providing guidance on the legal and ethical aspects of medicines use.
To support the Principal Pharmacist for Clinical services to produce business plans for all advancements of pharmacy services within the Business Group specialities
