Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Great opportunity for an experienced Remediation Calculations Leader to lead the Advice Remediation Calculations Team and be responsible for the production of remediation detriment calculations in accordance with both the relevant regulatory guides as well as the Insignia Remediation policies and methodologies. You will lead a team of up to 2 direct reports and will report to the Program Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the production of all remediation calculations
  • Represent the Calculations function within the Advice Remediation Leadership team
  • Capable of explaining complex calculations to clients in a way they would understand
  • Maintain and develop the Calculations Methodology and Implementation Guides
  • Maintain and enhance the various calculation tools/models
  • Ensure quality (completeness and accuracy) of source data used to perform remediation calculations
  • Lead the Advice Calculations Team

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL POSSESS:

  • Solid experience leading Advice Calculations Teams
  • Sound understanding in the provision of financial advice and advice strategies
  • Sound knowledge with major investment products, stocks, bonds, managed funds, corporate actions, defined benefit funds
  • Ability to apply methodologies to individual client circumstances and to develop client beneficial assumptions appropriate to a case if required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and can represent the calculations methodology and specific calculations to executive stakeholders, the regulator and clients
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to deadlines
  • Advanced modelling and numerical ability in excel, SQL, VBA, Python highly desired
  • RG146 qualified with at least a DFP
  • Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
