Advising and Student Success Coordinator

The American University in the Emirates is looking for an Advising and Student Success Coordinator to join its team.
The Coordinator is responsible to provide AUE students with tutoring services to support their academic success and monitor students who are facing academic challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

• Bachelor Degree in related field

EXPERIENCE

• 1 to 3 years of experience working in student related department in a reputable university

SKILLS / TRAINING / KNOWLEDGE

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to tactfully and politely deal with difficult customer situations
• Appreciation of cultural diversity
• Fluent in Arabic and English language skills

• Provide students with tutoring services to support their academic success
• Ensure student’s ongoing successful progress to completion of degree program.
• Ensure timely follow-up with student inquiries.
• Coordinate between students and academic advisors.
• Orient new students to online tools, such as student portal.
• Provide academic assistance and support to students
• Monitor students at academic-risk, and enforce attending tutoring sessions
• Collect evidences for the activities that we are supporting students
• Provide accurate information to students on academic policies and procedures, in areas of registration, study plan, academic probation, attendance, and advising.
