EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Human Resources certificate, diploma, or degree
  • 3 - 5 years of human resources experience
  • Knowledge of WestJet company policies, guidelines and practices is an asset
  • Experience with performance & ability management
  • Proven ability to plan, develop, document and lead meetings with exceptional attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of all Microsoft applications
  • Able to deal with stressful situations and perform steadily under pressure
  • Positive role model outwardly demonstrates WestJet capabilities.
  • CPHR designation is considered an asset.
  • Canadian Labour Code experience and knowledge is an asset
  • Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal guests
  • High degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, and good judgment

Responsibilities:

WestJet is seeking an Advisor, HR Business Partner to join our busy and high performing Calgary based Human Resource Business Partnering (HRBP) team. This individual must exhibit a high standard of excellence, enjoy challenges, and is results driven. The incumbent must be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment and adeptly juggle multiple stakeholders and timelines.
The Advisor, HR Business Partner is the central conduit for many key HRBP activities including developing content for and the maintenance of our internal leader resource site, permanent workplace accommodations, HR analytics and reporting, rehire eligibility checks and maintaining data integrity. The Advisor is expected to project manage designated programs and operate autonomously and will be the first level of support for all administrative/tactical work in support of the Business Partnering team, and to deputize for HRBPs on occasion.
