Our Telfer operation in Australia is now recruiting for the position of Advisor- Human Resources.
Telfer Operations
Located in the Great Sandy Desert in East Pilbara, Western Australia, Telfer is a fly in fly out operation from Perth which recognizes the importance of work-life balance. Our comfortable, well-furnished rooms include Foxtel, and our site offers quality food with healthy options, medical care, sports and recreation activities. Families are welcomed several times a year to open days to support our community feel at Telfer.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated HR Advisor to support our Telfer Operations, In this role you will be a play a key role in supporting the site and you will report into the Superintendent- Human Resources on an 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth, flying on Fridays.
The purpose of this fast paced yet exciting role will see you building strong relationships with Telfer’s key people leaders and stakeholders whilst providing relevant and effective HR/ER advice. You will also get the opportunity to participate in execution and implementation of various HR projects.

Other key accountabilities include:

  • Advising and coaching employees and people leaders on employee relations matters with a focus on early intervention and people centricity, using a robust understanding of workplace grievances, complaints, and investigations to assist in positive workplace outcomes.
  • Building Leader capability in HR systems and processes including cyclical processes including objective setting, development goals, performance, salary review and talent assessment
  • Provide timely and effective advice to all stakeholders, relating to HR policies and processes to ensure consistency, fairness and compliance.
  • Support People leaders through performance management frameworks, workforce planning and talent management.
  • Manage company HR processes, audit HR data and assist developing and embedding of HR procedures, systems templates and reporting mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships through excellent communication, negotiation, collaboration and influencing skills.

As a Human Resource Advisor, you will ideally possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualified HR Degree or diploma (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of at least three years’ experience as a human resources generalist
  • Strong and experience within employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • A collaborative and personable approach, with the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving mindset
