Responsibilities:

CLIENT COVERAGE ROLE :

Develop the bank’s client base in the MENA region across the different client segments (Corporates, GREs and SWFs)
Contribute to the development of the overall regional franchise and strategic initiatives through marketing to existing and new client relationships in line with Natixis strategy and capabilities
Be the primary point of contact for clients and lead the marketing and transaction execution efforts working in coordination with the relevant Business Lines
Contribute to the development and marketing of our Islamic Finance offering in relation to our Financing and DCM business
Maintain strong discipline with respect to adherence to Regulatory requirements, KYC Risk, Credit Risk, Data Quality and Non-Financial Risk

M&A AND ADVISORY ROLE:

Lead and develop the M&A and Advisory business for Natixis in the MENA region in coordination and alignment with the Head of Advisory & Coverage Middle East and CCA
The role encompasses working on both sell-side and buy-side transactions as well as select debt advisory mandates in line with Natixis strategy and capabilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - CLIENT COVERAGE ROLE:

Develop the bank’s client relationships with the target client base and originate transactions to sell corporate & investment banking products offered by the bank to the client base
Identify and market new prospective clients suitable and in line with the bank’s strategy
Prepare proposals and pitch to existing and prospective clients, with a focus on Investment Banking opportunities
Coordinate and assist in the preparation of presentations, contracts and any other requirements related to transaction executions
Develop client marketing plans and coordinate marketing efforts with other business lines
Undertake due diligence and work on the credit approval process in conjunction with the Talent Pool, and Risk and Portfolio teams
Stay up-to-date with and ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal policies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - M&A AND ADVISORY ROLE:

Develop and execute the advisory strategy for the MENA region with the responsibility for the delivery of the M&A budget in coordination and alignment with the Head of Advisory & Coverage Middle East and CCA
Lead the origination and execution of M&A and Advisory mandates in the MENA region, in close coordination with Coverage, Sector Teams and the Natixis M&A Network and IB as necessary
Develop awareness of Natixis’ Middle East business with the Boutiques and Natixis’ international network in order to solicit M&A opportunities and foster cross-border activity
Coordination with Natixis M&A Boutiques, Natixis’ international network and EFG Hermes as necessary
Control:all internal controls in place to conduct the activity in the region. This includes the regulatory, compliance, legal and suitability framework for transacting with clients in the region

LEGAL AND REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Dubai Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud, including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer
Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence
