Description:

Joining the advisory team for Wider Asia in our Singapore office, you will help shape client’s decision making to accelerate the energy transition. You will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, while also managing workstreams and projects and driving internal initiatives. You will have the chance to work on projects and topics of high relevance for Wider Asia’s energy transition across multiple key markets, e.g., South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, etc.
You will combine an interest in energy markets and policy, performance in team-oriented environments and analytical capabilities. In addition, you will play an active role in client facing activities such as identifying clients’ needs, pitching our offering and answering client-specific questions in calls and in-person workshops.

Key Responsibilities

As Advisory Project Leader in the Singapore Office, you will be responsible for:

  • You will balance the delivery of commissioned projects with leading, coaching and inspiring teams of analysts and energy modelers such that they continuously exemplify Aurora’s values, improve their performance capability and develop to their full potential.
  • You will develop a clear and detailed understanding of the client’s business and expectations, scoping projects and managing them to time and budget.
  • You will also oversee multiple projects simultaneously, providing both internal and external stakeholders with the orientation they need in critical project phases and situations.
  • You will ensure optimal delivery on clients’ expectations, including selecting the appropriate analytical approach, leading on complex problem-solving, ensuring independent, high quality, rigorous quantitative analysis, interpretation and communication of data insights.
  • You will independently contribute to building and deepening close client relationships, and as their trusted advisor, you are the first to whom they turn
  • You will acquire new clients and projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to respond successfully to inbound requests for proposals, by identifying opportunities through establishing and deepening client relationships and building your external profile as a thought leader within the energy ecosystem.

  • You will have considerable relevant experience from a management consultancy or relevant industry

  • You will have a proven track record of winning new business, both through writing compelling proposals in response to client requests, and through proactive business development

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience in the energy industry is highly desirable but not essential if you can demonstrate transferable skills and experience as well as the desire to contribute to Aurora’s mission and the relevant consulting, analytical and leadership skills
  • You speak Korean fluently
