Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, and is based out West. You will be offering services for Wahine and Tamariki requesting safety support who are experiencing or have experienced whānau violence with appropriate safety planning. You must have a full license as you will be required to drive around.
You will be joining a fantastic team, who share the same common passion for their community. Your team will feel like family and you will be making a big difference and supporting a great cause.
Responsibilities:
- A social worker qualification or 2+ years experience in a social service agency working with vulnerable whanau
- Experience working with whānau, hapū and Iwi
- Clear professional boundaries and a non-judgmental manner
- Ability to multi-task and deal with competing priorities
- Effective communication written and verbal
- Have experience working in the community or within a social services setting supporting Māori and Pasifika whānau
- Must have a full driver’s license as you will need to drive aroun
