JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Aeromechanics Engineer will perform aeromechanics analysis, design optimization, test & validation, and support FAA Certification of fan, compressor, and turbine airfoils. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting in technical and program reviews.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with an emphasis in vibration, aerodynamics, acoustics, or aeromechanics.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Engineering position.
Responsibilities:
As the Aeromechanics Engineer, you will:
- Perform aeromechanics analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) and/or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis in support of new engine designs and fielded products.
- Support and enhance aeromechanics tools.
- Define and execute test programs.
- Prepare and present technical information to internal and external customers.
- Document and communicate aeromechanics design, analysis, and test data.
- Share engineering information, lessons learned, and promote open dialogue.
- Prepare invention disclosures for technology that provides a competitive advantage.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data for assigned projects.
