Role in the team:
You will report to your “Team Lead - Aerostructures” and work closely with the aircraft final assembly teams.
We are looking for experienced and motivated technicians with an eye for detail and a strong sense of quality. You will work with your team in Aerostructure Assembly to produce the first Lilium jets, liaising closely with the other teams in production.

Your daily tasks:

  • You and your team are responsible for safety, adherence to deadlines and quality in all phases of aircraft structure production
  • Assembly and joining of high-performance structural components made of plastic, ceramics and fibre composites
  • Final assembly of the overall structure made of metal and carbon fibre materials,
  • Drilling, cutting, riveting and fastening/bonding of metal and carbon fibre materials
  • You support the identification of improvement opportunities in workflows and processes in production and assembly
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with engineering and other teams in production

Your profile:

  • Completed technical training or a comparable qualification of several years in prototype construction, or in small series production in the aerospace industry
  • Production of fits and industry-standard joining processes, e.g. HI-LOKs, HI-LITES
  • Expertise in cutting, drilling and machining composite parts within tight tolerances using hand tools
  • Written and verbal understanding of work instructions and sketches in English is a basic requirement
