Kruger Products - Trenton is growing again and seeking an energetic, highly skilled 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprentice who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoys learning and working with new technology to join our expanding Maintenance in a Full Time role.
Under the direction of a skilled tradesperson, the Electrical Apprentice is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of tissue converting lines and auxiliary equipment:
- Job Duties
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment.
- Program, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of PLC’s
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical control systems, working with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical devices
- Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Work on other electrical projects as required.
- Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A demonstrated knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers
- Experience with robotics and automation
- Completed at least 1 year of electrical apprenticeship, preferably in an automated manufacturing setting
- Ability to work in a shift environment
- Strong motivation with the ability to work independently or as a team member
