Kruger Products - Trenton is growing again and seeking an energetic, highly skilled 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprentice who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoys learning and working with new technology to join our expanding Maintenance in a Full Time role.

Under the direction of a skilled tradesperson, the Electrical Apprentice is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of tissue converting lines and auxiliary equipment:

  • Job Duties
  • Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment.
  • Program, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of PLC’s
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
  • Troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical control systems, working with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Work on other electrical projects as required.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A demonstrated knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Experience with robotics and automation
  • Completed at least 1 year of electrical apprenticeship, preferably in an automated manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work in a shift environment
  • Strong motivation with the ability to work independently or as a team member
