Job Description

As our Product Manager - Aftermarket, you’ll be at the forefront of driving the success of our service products and aftermarket solutions. This is your chance to lead the development and launch of ground-breaking services, optimize existing offerings, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll harness your market expertise and data-driven insights to define and refine our service strategies, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the security industry. In this role you will focus on ensuring our new products are designed to optimize our aftermarket opportunities and take ownership of the aftermarket business case development through the new product development process.
Furthermore, you will develop service offerings for the new product ready for product launch and identify any technologies that could be retrofitted to the fielded installed base as retrofit mid-life upgrades.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define commercial strategy for service products, aligning with services and aftermarket objectives.
  • Stay informed about target markets, competitors, and pricing.
  • Translate customer feedback into service offering requirements.
  • Identify growth opportunities through partnerships, M&A, new markets, technologies, and service offerings.
  • Maintain scope, features, parameters, and value proposition of service offerings.
  • Lead commercial development of new service offerings, ensuring alignment with product lifecycle management
  • Determine pricing strategy, maximizing margin, revenue, and market share.
  • Forge partnerships and optimize route-to-market channels, including digital platforms.
  • Drive launch of new service offerings, working closely with marketing and communication teams.
  • Monitor performance of existing offerings and develop plans for optimization.
  • Provide inputs to forecasts and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Support sales and industry marketing teams, leveraging installed base data and attending customer meetings and events.
  • Contribute to business development and provide input on product development

About You

  • Graduate-level qualification in business or technology, preferably with a master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated track record in aftermarket products and service offering design, development, commercialisation, promotion and marketing from concept to launch in a B2B/B2G setting
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of product management, marketing, program management, and project management.
  • Familiarity with technology industries, long term services and maintenance solutions for complex engineered products
  • Change management and business improvement skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of innovation.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and international business development expertise.
  • Ability to assess customer and market needs and translate them into winning value propositions.
  • Analytical skills for effective decision-making and trade-offs.
  • Comfortable working with data and IT systems and building business cases.
  • Able to lead and direct integrated project teams in an international matrix setting
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in a second language is advantageous
