Description:
Our client is recruiting for a Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily coordination of production requirements within their department in order to achieve the required Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) measurable.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent is an asset
- Superior organizational and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the occupational health and safety act
- A minimum of three (3) years, preferably in a team lead role, is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with scheduling and production management to set daily production priorities.
- Ensure that established OEE quality/availability/performance standards are communicated and achieved within the department.
- Ensure that safety standards are identified, communicated and achieved within the department.
- Where an established OEE or safety standard is not being met, identify the root cause and take the appropriate action.
- Ensure that operators use standard work and associated tools to meet standards.
- Maintain 5-S standards and measures within the department.
- Conduct team meetings with departmental employees covering current OEE, product, quality and safety information.
- Coordination of employee orientation and training within the department.
- Initiate employee counseling and disciplinary action.
- Maintain close communication and coordination with other production departments and shifts to ensure priorities are met.
- Maintain communication with other non-production departments within the company.
