Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Health and Safety

  • Ensures all team members perform work in a safe manner including using personal protective equipment
  • Works in compliance with the occupational health and safety legislation
  • Knows, understands and follows safe work practices and procedures
  • Reports all injuries/illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents and any contravention of health and safety legislation, policies and procedures to the Restaurant Manager or Owner
  • Ensures health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to during shifts, including documentation of any work related injuries or accidents
  • Records and utilizes logs as per food safety standards i.e. temperature log

Human Resources

  • Supervise team members
  • Assist Restaurant Manager in recruitment
  • Conduct pre-shift huddle and motivates employees throughout shift
  • Ensure employees are in proper uniform and standards
  • Provides coaching and feedback as necessary
  • Provides training as required

Customer Service

  • Ensures quality and standards are met
  • Handles customer service complaints with confidence, quickly and professionally
  • Puts corrective actions in place

Operations

  • Assigns duties to employees as required
  • Assigns floats and balances cash at the end of shift
  • Ensures restaurant is stocked, cleaned, staffed and prepared for following shift
