Responsibilities:

HOW YOU WILL POWER OUR PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY)

We’re looking for anenthusiastic, creative, and caring Afterschool Center Supervisor to inspire a love of learning in young minds and build memorable experiences at our afterschool programs. If you have an open afternoon schedule,would like to work up to 20 hours per week, and have weekends off, this is the perfect job for you.
As aAfterschool Center Supervisor,you are responsible for overseeing and leading that after-school program operation.Afterschool Site Leaders’ responsibilities include supervision of children, staff, and implementation of Texas Child Care licensing regulatory requirements. You will maintain communication and collaboration with the school administration, daily and weekly reporting of activities, student progress, communication with parents, and business management teams.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Responsible for the safety of the children on site within the Texas Child Care directives.
  • Enforces safety and security standards for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Responsible for managing staff and ensuring that they are following CDC and licensing standards.
  • Inspect the classroom and facilities daily to ensure supplies are ready and the learning environment is safe
  • Actively participate in all aspects of staff development, including team meetings, pre-service training, and at least an additional 15 hours of training during the school year.
  • Promotethe YMCA’s character values, mission, wellness philosophy, and role in the community.
  • Lead by example the Y’s mission, vision, and values with program participants, members, staff, and guests.
  • Become an Ambassador of the Y’s work and culture by being the ultimate storyteller of who we are as an organization and brand.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
