DESCRIPTION:

The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley is hiring for Site Director and Assistant positions for our “Y Care” After School program, which is a licensed before and after school program operating in the Rome, Oneida, Whitesboro, Stockbridge, VVS, Waterville, NYMills and other Central NY and Mohawk Valley elementary schools. Applicants must be able to work from 2:30PM-6PM, M-F. We are seeking qualified applicants who enjoy working with children, implement lesson plans, use positive reinforcement, and able to comply with NYS OCFS regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Site Director/Multi-Site Director: Associates or higher in Education, Child Development, Recreation or related field (or 2 years of college with 18 credit hours in Education or Child Development or related filed) and 1 year supervising adults in a child care setting and 2 years supervising children. (Education can be exchanged for current NYS Children’s Program Administrator Credential, School Age Child Care Credential or other credential deemed appropriate to SACC development) $20-$25hr
Group Leader: Needs high school diploma and experience supervising children $17-$19hr
Site Assistant: High School diploma or 1 year supervising children $15-$18h
