JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a motivated, customer-centric, individual to act as an Ag-Commercial Lender. This individual will combine agricultural and business knowledge to identify, acquire and build new relationships with ag customers. The Ag-Commercial Lender will also manage an existing loan portfolio while growing new business. The Ag-Commercial Lender will utilize bank products and credit/retail services to evaluate customer needs and assist them in meeting their goals. This individual will work as a team member and exhibit strong support to those on his or her team.
The ideal candidate has agricultural/commercial lending experience and a strong understanding of agricultural production and financial management principles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years Ag-Commercial lending experience required.
• A Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to consistently grow and develop an ongoing loan portfolio.
• Strong ability to analyze financial statements.
• Ability to accurately and consistently produce financial statements.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Able to deal with confidential information appropriately.
• Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy.
• Must be proficient in common spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel.

• Actively call on prospective customers and build new banking relationships.
• Interview loan applicants to determine their goals and needs and find opportunities and solutions through a team approach.
• Develop and strengthen long term relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Ultimately manage a loan portfolio of approximately $40MM comprised of existing and newly developed business.
• Ensure that the needs of other lending team members are being met, while relying heavily on each other to serve the bank’s customers.
• Maintain product knowledge of all bank services and cross-sell ancillary solutions by referral to appropriate areas.
• Participate in community activities and events to increase the banks visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
