What’s on offer?

Due to a strong pipeline of work, we’re looking Services Electrical Manager to join our Melbourne Airport project team. We have a long pipeline of work and are looking to expand our team. Day to day you will act as the key services manager onsite which includes leading the excavation process (Ground Penetration Permit Process). You will act as the key liaison between our project teams, subcontractors and our client at Melbourne Airport. You will also be responsible for:

  • Managing the procurement process of all Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) contractors including developing, executing and managing sub-contract agreements;
  • Managing the construction of a new Airfield Lighting Equipment Room (ALER), including the building, HV, AGL and Communication contractors and associated interfaces between each;
  • Management of Project, site and junior engineers for onsite works, liaise with site supervisors and superintendent to endure all site work is completed in a safe manner;
  • Reviewing of electrical and communications design drawings and documentation against contractual obligations, industry standards, safety compliance, best practice and for standardisation across airport projects;
  • Performing QA/QC inspections, review/develop ITP’s & Work Method Statements/ Work Packs and commissioning support for electrical scope of work (incl. factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests).
  • Performing cost management, forecasting and assisting with estimating works in relation to electrical works on all airport projects.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working on complex infrastructure projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment where you are given autonomy to lead your team and influence outcomes to achieve best for project outcomes. To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, ideally in Civil or Electrical, with experience in project delivery across mid to large scale civil projects. You will, ideally, have experience in Civil Construction in the management of electrical sub-contractors and a small team of engineers. Experience working in an Airport environment or the operation of low voltage lighting/signalling systems would be advantageous.
