ABOUT BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION:

The Business Transformation Team supports organizational strategic and operational objectives and drives time to market, business value and exceptional user experience through business transformation of process, data and technology solutions and operational implementation of new programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

SE Health is expanding our use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), for operational and clinical excellence. These technologies will be leveraged to drive operational efficiencies, inform strategic decision making, and improve client outcomes. To be successful in this work, SE must ensure the critical enablers are in place to support governance, organizational awareness, and strategic road mapping. This position will support the development of these enablers, contributing to SE’s journey towards industry leadership in AI.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Enrollment in post-graduate studies in health sciences, engineering, business, information sciences, or equivalent. Specialization in AI or ML preferred.
  • Must be available for a 3-month or 12-week term.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into key learnings and easily digestible formats including summaries, frameworks, roadmaps, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the experience effectively communicating within cross-functional teams. Experience with facilitation an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex data sets and producing impactful data visualizations.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to tailor content for a variety of audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Miro, Loop, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key stakeholders and establish collaborative working relationships.
  • Conduct information gathering activities to help SE build key enablers and define a roadmap to becoming an industry leader in AI and ML, which may include:
  • Environmental scans and reviews of literature to collate best practices in responsible AI use and governance in health care.
  • Identifying and assessing areas of risk associated with the adoption of AI and ML tools.
  • Understanding the current state of organizational awareness and readiness for the adoption of AI-enabled technologies.
  • Identifying key business pain points or potential opportunities to leverage AI and ML.
  • Mapping current and future-state enterprise capabilities required to support the development, application and sustainability of AI and ML tools
  • Summarize the results of information gathering activities into various formats including PowerPoint presentations and reports and disseminate this information to identified stakeholders.
