DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

As a Lenovo Workstation AI Solutions Engineer you will:

  • Pre-sale support to customers and sales providing guidance on workstation hardware configurations that make use of current AI tools to optimize performance
  • Perform hands-on lab work to characterize performance for various training and inference AI workflows (Image training, Large Language Modeling, MLPerf benchmarks, etc), and understand the hardware configurations that reduce bottlenecks
  • Develop deliver presentations and whitepapers that assist customers in their AI hardware and solutions options
  • Support additional AI solution initiatives within the workstation business unit, such as testing customer workflows in Lenovo hardware in our labs
  • Develop key contacts at NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD
  • Understand and support key ISV’s AI integration and how these can be accelerated to further benefit our customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field
  • 8+ years’ experience in data science and/or AI technologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and methodologies
  • Basic understanding of computer architecture
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, BIOS, device drivers
  • Self-starter that can deal with ambiguity and set a direction
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer first approach
  • Willingness to be flexible and change depending on the needs of the business
  • Computer hardware build skills
    This position will be based in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Our office has transitioned to a hybrid work environment supporting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. To be considered, candidates need to be local to Raleigh or willing to relocate on their own.
