JOB SUMMARY

The air product manager is a key member of the company who is responsible for their business unit’s success in contributing to the achievement of company goals and objectives. This individual plays an important role in expanding business & maintaining the smooth and efficient operations of air freight business unit. The air product manager is responsible for all the different aspects of marketing activities and the company’s operation for air cargo in Business Administration & Development and accountable in achieving volume and profitability target in Air Freight business unit. This position reports to the General Manager, A & D.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in airline management and negotiation
  • Knowledgeable in air cargo operation, regulations
  • Knowledge of AS400 and other all related systems
  • Marketing skills
  • Intermediate Excel and Power point skills to make analysis report
  • Good networking and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations, work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate different aspects of the marketing activities, which include analyzing data and statistics for air cargo
  • Marketing to establish new business area in terms of Industry and geography
  • Marketing for the expansion of air freight forwarding business in NECA’s key target industries with new / existing customers
  • Create new schemes, services, and tools for perishable and pharma industries to grow NECA freight forwarding business
  • Ensure that air cargo operations are standardized and according to compliance nationwide
  • Ensure that NECA’s air cargo operation is optimized and efficient to have competitiveness and excellence in the market
  • Support CSMD P&P for the negotiation with airlines. (Rates, Space allocations, Incentives, etc.)
  • Ensure to have periodical review meetings with NECA’s main vendors to strengthen relationship and our procurement power
  • Work with NECA IT team to make sure the smooth transition when eAWB, eManifest and the other new regulations or restrictions are implemented to air cargo operation
  • Work with the quality / FMD manager to make sure our air cargo security program is up to date
  • Ensure all the trade compliance and restrictions in air freight market is up to date in NECA and shared with the operation team
  • Ensure accuracy in the compilation and presentation of reports
  • Assist General Manager, A & D with Business Administration and development, nationwide
  • Various other duties can be required
