Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the purpose of the Air Freight Business Development Manager is to participate in sales activities with a focus on increasing revenue and building, long-term, trusting relationships. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Generating and participating in sales activities including sales calls, client visits, prospecting leads etc.
  • Supporting all business strategies
  • Develop new business relationships
  • Develop, implement and monitor sales goals
  • Support campaigns
  • Work with management to develop strategies and activities to support existing and new accounts
  • Update and maintain CRM
  • Providing customer quotes

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Previous experience as a BDM within an international freight forwarding business – essential
  • High levels of autonomy with a hunting sales approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government requirements
  • Solid operational experience in all Freight Forwarding aspects
  • Knowledgeable in international import / export regulations specific to the position/departmen
