YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Bachelors Degree/Diploma in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, Commerce, Administration or related fields.
• 2+ years experience in similar role is needed
• 2+ years experience in the Freight Forwarding / Transportation industry is preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPointProficient knowledge of International Business and Freight Forwarding

YOUR ROLE

As Operational Care Specialist , you will be responsible for proactively planning, preparing and processing operational tasks with high standards and consistency of accuracy and attention to details. You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure specific requirements are met, i.e. carrier selection, routing, transit time, temperature requirements etc., as well as be responsible to coordinate, collaborate and communicate with Customer Care team and adhere to Kuehne+Nagel operational procedures and processes, compliant with internal and external regulations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for Internal Customer Excellence and Operational Excellence in Canada and actively participate in the organization’s strategy relative to Kuehne+Nagel.
• You will participate in all mandatory global and local trainings required for the OCC operational role.
• Compliant with and follow Air 2.0 Air Import Methodology and Procedures and Execute Air Import shipments using Air 2.0 processes
• Rate negotiation with truckers and other service providers to maximize profit on shipment file level
• Manage high business volumes, work well individually and with a team with minimum supervision and sharing the Best Practices within the teams.
• Meet the company’s KPI’s and data quality requirements, QSHE Compliance - Kuehne+Nagel internal and Government regulations and seeking Continuous Improvements opportunities.
• Supporting Air Logistics Financial Targets, after-Hours, Shift-Hours including Weekends is required.
• Other tasks as may be assigned by the Company.
