Description:
We are looking for a passionate Aircraft Electrical System Engineer to join our young and growing team. As an Aircraft Electrical System Engineer you own the requirements, architecture, interfaces and integration of the overall electric low voltage distribution system, including the Energy Storage, Power Distribution and Power Routing Components, Circuit Breakers, Wire Harness, Power Electronics, and others for the development of our eVTOL. The general work is ranging from requirements management, development, certification, to implementation for our vehicle. You will have the chance to shape the future of aerial mobility by not only defining the Low Voltage Distribution System but also developing its components and coordinating with regulatory partners and suppliers.
Tasks
- Design airworthy systems until certification maturity
- Create and validate system level, subsystem and equipment requirements according to valid airworthiness standards
- Develop and prepare tests and test setups for the low voltage distribution system
- Cooperate closely with other system development teams regarding design, interfaces and control
- Identify and contact possible suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Be part of our flight-testing campaigns and see your developments work in practice
- Continuously challenge and improve the technical concepts, tools, and methods
Requirements
you should …
- Hold a bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
- Have at least 5 years of aerospace experience in the area of your responsibilities described above
- Have strong understanding of aircraft electrical distribution systems on system and equipment level
- Have a clear understanding of safety-critical development processes and functional safety in aerospace
- Bring experience with requirements management tools
- Have strong motivation to establish processes and structures
- Have excellent problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills
Moreover, we appreciate if you …
- Have hands-on experience in aerospace development (ARP4754)
- Have experience with equipment qualification (DO160)
- Have experience about EMI
- Bring basic knowledge of EASA/FAA regulations and guidance material and industry standards
