Airbus Australia Pacific is currently seeking applications for qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team based in Richmond, NSW.
About the location
Richmond is approximately an hour (65 km) out of Sydney, in the Hawkesbury region at the base of the Blue Mountains. Sydney arguably offers the best balance of environment and cultural delights with the added bonus of fantastic weather. New South Wales has some of the most stunning beaches and sea pools plus surrounding bushland. You will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful sights with a 4-day working week allowing you to have a long weekend, every weekend!

About the role
We are currently seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers – Structures, Mechanical or Avionics, or people who hold equivalent trade qualification to join our team located at RAAF Base Richmond.
We provide heavy maintenance and modifications for the Royal Australian Air Force’s fleet of C130J Hercules.
Airbus will provide C130J type-training as a part of your on-boarding experience and support your professional development such as further education, leadership development and unlimited access to a range of online training.

Work hours
Airbus operates to a 4-day work week (38 hours), Mon – Thu (6.00 am – 4.00 pm), with overtime available.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have a strong attention to detail as well as good verbal and written skills.

The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:

  • Hold any of the below qualifications or greater:
  • Cert IV in Aeroskills
  • DASR 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence
  • CASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
  • EASA Category B Examination Credits
  • Cert in Aeronautical Engineering (Level 4) (NZ)
  • Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Level 5 or greater) (NZ)
  • NVQ Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (UK)
  • Craft Certificate - Aircraft Mechanics (IRE)
  • Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
  • Valid Driver’s License and Passport

OTHER EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE HIGHLY REGARDED INCLUDES:

  • Experience in C130J maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Experience in heavy maintenance is desirable.
  • Any military aircraft maintenance experience is favourable.
