Description:
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE OF THE AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN:
- Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
- Driving Licence.
- Aircraft engineering experience.
- Knowledge of MOD Engineering procedures/documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN:
- Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve the minimum of a SC security clearance for this role.

THE ROLE
As an Aircraft Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Supporting all aircraft engineering, line, and depth maintenance.
Day to day, you’ll assist in the ground movement of aircrafts, as well as:
- Carry out Flight-line operations i.e., Preparation of aircraft for daily flying, “see-in” and “see-off”, fuel and oil replenishment. Daily Check A maintenance.
- Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT Aircraft fleet.
- Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment.
- Complete “all” documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedure.
This role is part time and based onsite at RAF Wittering.
HOURS OF THE ROLE:
- 20 Hours per week
- Week one - Monday 07;30 - 16:30, Tuesday 07:30 - 16:30, Wednesday 07:30 - 12:00
- Week two - Wednesday 12:00 - 16:30, Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, Friday 07:30 - 16:30
