Description:
Job Purpose: About Us: The Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) is dedicated to the education and training of future aviation professionals. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Licensed Aircraft Engineering program as Aircraft Technician Trainees. This program offers a comprehensive 48-month On Job Training (OJT) experience, culminating in obtaining an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence.
Role Overview: As an Aircraft Technician Trainee, you will engage in live aircraft maintenance tasks and complete a practical training logbook under the guidance of experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAEs) and Technicians. This role includes a segment of OJT at EK Engineering (Line-Base) to gather the necessary practical elements to meet regulatory requirements. Trainees will undergo regular performance evaluations to ensure progress towards specified learning targets.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: REQUIREMENTS :
- Certificate of recognition (COR) B1.1 required
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine aircraft servicing as per manufacturers’ procedures, ensuring safety and compliance in fluid replenishment, refuelling, and system servicing under supervision.
- Conduct component changes and troubleshoot with guidance, utilizing Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Part Catalogue (IPC), and other documentation.
- Promote a safety culture, minimize incidents, maintain clean work areas to prevent FOD, and communicate safety concerns.
- Understand and adhere to airport safety regulations, including obtaining necessary driving permits and following road safety procedures.
- Complete technical oral assessments and competence evaluations as per the CAR 66 manual and organizational standards.
- Achieve all learning milestones, including passing assigned modules for the GCAA Basic Licence and demonstrating competence at the end of the OJT period.
- Engage in developmental activities, including self-study and additional tasks as assigned by instructors or managers.
