EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Practical experience working in a UK CAA/EASA Part 21J environment.
  • Strong understanding of Type Certification requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Part 21J, CS Regulations, and SC requirements.
  • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems/Avionics, Software.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

As an Airworthiness Engineer specializing in Type Certification, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to ensure the airworthiness of our aircraft and achieve Type Certification. Working closely with our Head of Initial Airworthiness and Safety Engineers, you will provide critical support by delivering the necessary data sets and documents. Your contributions will be essential to maintaining safety and regulatory compliance throughout our product modification process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of UK CAA (EASA/FAA/DAOS) DOA and POA regulations.

  • Monitor the air product modification process from an Airworthiness perspective.

  • Skillfully interpret airworthiness requirements prior to release.
  • Understand Certification basis requirements, including CRI and MOC processes.
  • Collaborate on co-ordinating Type Certificate Datasheets and revisions with the UK CAA.
  • Liaise effectively with various internal functional areas (Design, Safety, Configuration, Production).
  • Coordinate Flight clearance requirements when flying under DOA conditions.
  • Manage safety risks on behalf of the Head of Initial Airworthiness.
  • Ensure airworthiness records and data are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support for Design Review meetings.
  • Uphold product design activities to meet regulatory and corporate requirements.
