QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Proven experience as an Algorithms Engineer or similar role
- BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to research, design and integrate algorithms into high-performance software, operating on sensor data
- Solid knowledge of statistics, linear algebra and machine learning
- Experience working with one or more of time series analysis, sensor fusion, machine learning, modern deep learning
- Familiar with Git workflows and Docker.
- You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with engineers from non-software / data science backgrounds
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies

ABOUT THE ROLE
The company is seeking an Algorithms Engineer with relevant experience to join the development team in Sydney. The role is primarily focused on the development of DroneShield’s RFAI projects. It represents an exceptional opportunity for a result-driven individual in a new niche but exploding market.
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Develop algorithms to improve accuracy, efficiency, output and insights
- Integrate and optimise algorithmic models to run efficiently into production software architectures
- Collecting, curating, and annotating large amounts of data from different domains and with different latency requirements
- Assist the software development team to implement models and have input into how the output from this data is displayed to the user (GUI)
- Document and maintain the code base supporting Sensor Fusion / Machine Learning applications
