What we are looking for

We are seeking an individual with strong commercial and algorithmic trading orientation to drive E.ON´s digital trading activities and manage E.ON´s flow volumes

• Manage power and gas supply portfolio to the market, including strategic selection of market channels.
• Serve as primary market interface for E.ON’s positions across various markets and ensure successful position management.
• Closely collaborate with speculative traders. Engage in discussions about positions, trading strategies and market opportunities to maximise group value.
• Identify profitable algorithmic trading opportunities across various commodity markets.
• Develop and implement profitable algorithmic trading strategies in collaboration with cross functional teams including software developers, data scientists and risk managers.
• Monitor trading strategies, analyze performance metrics and continuously optimize algorithms to adapt to changing market conditions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain competitive edge in algorithmic trading.

Who we are seeking

• University degree or equivalent with a significant mathematical content and / or in Engineering or Economics
• Multi-year trading experience in energy markets with PnL responsibility
• Expertise in European energy markets and in depth knowledge of cross commodity interaction
• Experience in developing and executing algorithmic trading strategies
• Coding language skills such as Python, VBA or similar
• Commercial thinking and high level of commitment
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
