We are seeking a qualified and talented Application Developer to join the Codebeamer team in Stuttgart, Germany. Codebeamer is an agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution for distributed development. It helps users streamline product innovation processes, enhance product quality, reduce development costs, and maintain compliance with safety-critical standards. Codebeamer is a complete lifecycle management solution with all-in-one requirements, risk, and test management capabilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Expert level in at least one programming language such as Java (J2EE), C++, Javascript etc. - Proven experience as application developer
• Experience with relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience in integrating tools using Rest API’s
• In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
• Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
• Team player, high energy & results oriented
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
• Great attention to detail and time-management skills
• BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field; MSc/MA would be ideal
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English and German is mandatory

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Computer Science bachelor’s degree / master’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years professional experience in a similar role, ALM experience is a bonus

• Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features
• Collaborate with a team of technical professionals to set specifications and design/create new applications, customizations and integrations.
• Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features or extensions.
• Design & invent creative prototypes according to customer specifications
• Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines and conduct unit, integration, functional and non-functional testing
• Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and improve
• Develop technical documents to accurately represent application designs
• Develop & present technical presentations and customized demonstrations of your creations to customers and solution consultants
• Contribute to the creation of reference architectures and frameworks that enable customers to scale and optimize their use of our software
