POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for designing aluminium extrusion dies to ensure optimal design for production purposes. The role also involves customer relationships, troubleshooting and problem-solving die failures.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Design solid and hollow dies using CAD. This includes new dies, remake and support tools.
• Liaise with customer and production to improve product design to satisfy customer requirements and maximise extrusion performance.
• Ensure optimisation, die life, manufacturing cost, and delivery performance are maintained.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with customers to support die correction.
• Support the application of process improvement techniques to improve processes and productivity. Liaise with production to ensure die performances are met.
• Other key accountabilities appropriate to the position as determined by the manager of the role.
