Responsibilities:
The Alumni Relations Officer plays a pivotal role at Capilano University and is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing both in-person and digital initiatives to enhance alumni engagement and support the university’s strategic priorities. This dynamic position demands a creative and proactive approach to cultivate lifelong relationships with alumni through targeted communication strategies, meticulous event management, and robust community partnership development. Serving as a front-facing ambassador, the Alumni Relations Officer represents the university during interactions with employees, students, alumni and community partners, leveraging excellent judgment and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships and elevate the profile and affinity for the university.
This role is based out of the main campus in North Vancouver and requires travel to various locations for events outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends. The Alumni Relations Officer reports to the Manager of Alumni Relations and is a key member of the Philanthropy and Alumni Relations Department.
