Health New Zealand | Te Whatu ora, Nelson Marlborough seeks an experienced Specialist Anaesthetist to cover leave for up to 12 months from 2024 in the Anaesthesia team

• Fixed term part time 0.7FTE (56 hours a fortnight)
• 1:8 after hours on-call roster

Nelson Marlborough is looking for a Specialist Anaesthetist to join our team. You will join a team of seven experienced and supportive SMO colleagues. You will be working within a secondary care setting participating in the anaesthetic roster, covering planned care and acute theatre sessions, anaesthesia after-hours on call support, anaesthetic pre-assessment clinics and working as the duty anaesthetist . In this role you will provide support to other departments including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology and Dental. Our department also provides anaesthesia for visiting subspecialty surgeons in paediatric surgery.
