Description:

Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.
Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management, the Analyst is responsible for assisting with the onboarding investments as well as routine activities including monitoring investments, performance reporting, draw execution and liaising with other areas of the CIB on related asset management matters. The individual will also be responsible for assisting in system implementation and management reporting.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Administrative Support: Assist in coordinating onboarding of new investments, maintaining records, and organizing processes
  • Performance Monitoring: Aid in monitoring portfolio and asset performance, collecting data for reports, and maintaining tracking systems
  • Reporting Assistance: Support preparation of investment updates and ensure timely delivery to stakeholders
  • Funds Flow Coordination: Help validate funding requests, coordinate funds flow, and maintain records
  • Financial Model Maintenance: Assist in updating financial models and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy of data
  • Collaboration and Assistance: Support collaboration with Finance and Risk teams, and provide administrative support for project reviews
  • Special Project Support: Assist in special projects such as system implementation or reporting revamp, and maintain project documentation
  • Data Management: Assist in establishing processes for updating data systems and automate reporting

Your ideal profile

  • Actively working towards a professional accounting designation and/or CFA is an asset
  • Two+ years of experience in a related field
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with proficiency in basic financial modelling, organizing and extracting essential data from large datasets, and confident in crafting PowerPoint presentations
  • Self-starter that will seek guidance from the Manager, Asset Management as required
  • Planning and organizational skills with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities required
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and as a part of a larger team
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset (training can be provided)
