We specialise in foreign exchange, credits and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Analyst/Associate, Asia Equity Sales - Global Banking & Markets.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Liaise with institutional clients (mutual funds, hedge funds), equity research analysts, and trading
  • Maintain CRM database and research distribution lists to monitor and track client consumption of research and related events
  • Respond to client requests via phone and email for equity research, models, corporate access, and conference meeting requests
  • Organize and distribute notes for internal meetings to recap daily fundamental and macro changes in a timely matter
  • Generate write-ups/recaps for stock ideas from fundamental analysts
  • Relay information between sector traders / sector specialists and the sales or trading teams when there is something market moving happening
  • Part of the Equity Sales team in developing and executing sales strategies to generate new business and maintain existing client relationships mainly with the firm’s institutional client base (LO, HFs, SWFs)
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and achieve individual and team targets
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, expanding the client base within the ASEAN market
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide relevant stock ideas, providing them with market insights, research reports, and investment opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, economics, finance, or math)
  • Experience in equity research or sales to institutions (buy side, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, family office)
  • Strong interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills
  • Hold relevant exams and qualifications to satisfy local and any cross border market regulations for advisory sales activities
  • Can work independently and collaborate with other colleagues locally and across regions

To be considered for this role, the relevant rights to work in Singapore is required.
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role. HSBC Group reserves its position with regards to any steps which it may take in relation to any material adverse findings which arise either when the checks are originally completed, and/or if relevant, on an ongoing basis.
