Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Must be bilingual, French and English
  • Degree in accounting, human resources or related field.
  • Experience in payroll processing
  • Understanding of pension plans and their administration.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax, labor laws and regulations.
  • Problem solving and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in payroll software ( ADP workforce now) and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all payroll related activities for Canada Salaried employees ( 150 active employees – 325 Retirees )
  • Manage contributions to retirement plans, insurance and other employees benefits.
  • Ensure that tax withholdings are made in accordance with laws and regulations.
  • Manage and resolve payroll issues and questions
  • Prepare reports on payroll expenses.
  • Maintain payroll records and employees information up to date.
  • Act as liaison with the internal and external auditors. Work closely with Belden’s designated consultants for all pension plans and benefits related projects.
  • Support the management of Belden’s short-term and long-term incentive plans, including documentation, internal controls, administration, and reporting.
