Overview of the Role
As a Category Analyst, you will support the Senior Insights and Strategy Manager in driving profitable category growth for Saputo and our customers. This role requires a team-oriented, analytical and insights-curious individual to support the team in achieving strategic goals.
This is a 12 to 18 month contract position
Salary: $65 010 - $85 329
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills and training.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Update period end templates, scorecards and tracking reports
  • Manage delivery of scheduled outputs and library of insights
  • Leverage multiple data sources (NielsenIQ, Retailer POS, consumer data) to extract consumer, shopper, category, and market insights
  • Provide presentation support for Insight & Strategy Manager
  • Drive retail category growth by leveraging insights and recommending action as it relates to assortment, merchandising, distribution, pricing & promotions
  • Support foodservice growth by identifying relevant industry/menu trends and highlighting business opportunities
  • Provide support to Sales team for ad hoc requests (item ranks, customer/category updates, distribution reports, planograms)
  • Demonstrate a high level of credibility and standards of accuracy
  • Continuously improve reporting effectiveness through new tools and automation
  • Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • University degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of analytic experience within the CPG industry
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Expertise in MS Office (excel and PowerPoint) with ability to quickly learn new programs
  • Strong analytical skills to examine data and identify trends
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team environment
  • Solid business acumen and communication skills
  • Knowledge of syndicated data (NielsenIQ) and retailer POS an asset
  • Good understanding of Canadian Retail and Foodservice Markets
