What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of the Client Strategy Team which supports CIBC as it strives to become the leader in Client Relationships. Specifically, the Client Insights & Analytics (CI&A) team provides data driven client insights to grow the PBB client base and deepen existing relationships. Our team provides executive level reporting on client trends and deep dives into key client segments to find actionable insights. As part of our team, you will work initiatives and analysis supporting reporting and actively seek and evaluate opportunities to drive PBB client growth and engagement and work with key stakeholders where appropriate.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Data savvy - Capability in report production and experience with script automation, cleansing, transforming and visualizing large/complex datasets. Responsible for maintaining an agile reporting environment and the infrastructure required to flexibly respond to reporting needs. Design and develop new reports and self-serve dashboards to support management and other key partners. Keep on top of leading edge analytical tools and best practices across banking and other industries.
  • Understand business needs - Understand the business context behind a reporting need and manage scope and project timelines. Identify key historical issues/trends, anticipate future issues/trends and provide analysis, reports and recommendations to help improve future business performance.
  • Relationship management -Form strong working relationships with key partners within Client Strategy & Transformation, as well as, external data vendors.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. Strong skills in applied statistics and mathematics. You can demonstrate good working knowledge of various data analytics tools (SAS, SQL, MS Excel) and visual analytics platforms (Tableau). Comfortable working with Big Data and have experience with report automation.
