ABOUT THE ROLE:

Japanese Corporate Banking Department provides banking and financial services to support businesses of Japanese companies operating in Australia.
Our customer relationship is typically a part of global relationship network originated in Japan. We provide our services to our customers not only to achieve their business goals in domestic markets but also to help integrate in their global growth.
Our service includes lending, deposit, FX and other market and derivative products, banking transactions using an online platform, asset managements and import/export finance.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Support managers in ensuring the portfolio is managed consistent with MUFG’s operation and strategic framework. Note, this role is not work location specific and needs to handle and contribute to Oceania-wide (Australia and New Zealand) tasks
  • Under supervision of senior management in the credit analyst team, the role will require the successful candidate to:
  • Manage credit & portfolio related requests - periodic review of borrower rating and preparation of credit application thought communication with relationship mangers, and credit officers in HQ (if any)
  • Manage credit linked administrative task - maintenance of system records, covenant check, documentation, and various reporting etc, by smooth communication between relevant parties
  • Generate historical and forward looking financial and industry analysis through credit process
  • Support the relationship managers for preparation of pitches/proposals
  • Expectation is to develop credit and sector analytical skill, understanding banking products, contributing to team and relationship mangers, and to become managing credit process independently
