Responsibilities:
As a member of our Customer Due Diligence Team, you will play an important role in ensuring our KYC/Customer Due Diligence meets Worldpay policy and AML regulations. This role will incorporate an in-depth review of CDD/EDD to ensure it is in line within Worldpay risk appetite. In addition, you will provide approval or rational of findings to the wider compliance teams for review where required, in accordance with Worldpay policy and procedures.
As well as supporting our 1st line of defense with the day to day demands of a rapidly growing Global Due Diligence function, on hand to advise and enhance the customer experience through a seamless boarding transition.
You will work as part of team to own and manage a CDD/EDD review portfolio, liaising directly with our Global Internal teams, forming close alliances with our Compliance representatives and relationship managers to ensure CDD is accurately and efficiently gained and maintained.
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence for new business relationships including assessments of complex ownership structures and source of wealth/funds in line with Worldpay’s Policies and Procedures.
- Complete ongoing monitoring of existing customer relationships on the back of trigger events or through their regular review cycle.
- Review and where required, investigate PEP, Sanction and Adverse Media screening referrals for customers and related parties.
- Ensure reviews are completed to a high standard to maintain consistency and accuracy whilst striving for continuous improvement of the CDD Operations function.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including Business Development and Relationship Managers and other areas of the control framework such as Compliance and Audit.
- Provide guidance and advice on due diligence requirements using a risk-based approach.
- Create a customer focused culture that has a clear understanding of risk and an innovative can-do mindset that achieves both the regulatory objectives and a good customer experience.
- Maintain high levels of performance at all times including situations with challenging timeframes and complex scenarios.
- Identify and escalate emerging issues or concerns with the ability to manage issues from identification to resolution.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
