Reporting to the Director, Industrial Engineering, the Industrial Engineer is responsible for performing data gathering and analysis functions to enhance the utilization of labour at store level in order to improve Customer Service, improve labour productivity, and minimize shrink and other expenses. You will play a key role and take initiative in conducting in-store time and process studies, developing labour models, data analytics and reporting initiatives. Engaging in collaborative projects with cross-functional teams, your analysis and input will help drive labour efficiency and encourage best practices in store processes while helping to determine the future design and model for our stores.

EXPERIENCE

2 years + experience with specialized knowledge in Data Analytics and Labour Management

EDUCATION

University degree in Engineering, Management Science, or related fields.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-store time-motion studies and develop labour models to support labour planning during the Common Year Planning process, while ensuring output complies with various policies, procedures and standards as well as best practices defined by National Operations
  • Maintain labour planning tools, labour standard and process library and plans studies at stores
  • Identify, validate, and drive new process improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate key strategic initiatives to ensure delivery of planned business targets
  • Management and maintenance of various regular analytical tools and reporting platforms
  • Providing ad-hoc analytical and support to the store operations teams
  • Gather data and evaluate processes through store studies to identify best practices and improvement opportunities by leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Responsible for identifying various process changes and enhancements in order to provide continuous improvements in the use of store resources.
  • Generate KPI reports and update metrics tracking solutions to provide analytical support to management and field resources
  • Develop from scratch various quantitative models and analysis to provide operations insights and support decision making (Simulations, optimizations, and other statistical analysis)
