What You’ll Be Doing
As an Analyst, OCIO - Audit and Controls, you will support the Office of the CIO and will work collaboratively with other team members to provide compliance oversight and support to BCM function within PBDFST lines of businesses and operational areas in order to ensure policies and procedures are followed at a level commensurate with CIBC risk appetite. You will assist in the review and implementation of CIBC Standards focusing on ongoing monitoring and guidance during each review.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Relationship Building- You will respond to client’s inquiries and requests, providing professional high-quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction. You will liaise and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio.
  • Administration & Analytical Thinking - Provide governance and support by working closely with the team of technology SMEs, BCM Relationship Managers, Business Continuity Specialists to manage, and sustain a comprehensive enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management program ranging from oversight and governance services, liaising with technology teams in testing of the effectiveness of business continuity plans , effective oversight through governance and compliance activities.
  • Business Acumen - You have a good understanding Business continuity management processes. In addition, you also:
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders across the Enterprise Business Continuity Management team along with the technology SMEs, in implementation of a governance structure that spans the business continuity lifecycle, including enhancements to the business continuity management program, tools and training, and program materials (i.e., policies, guidelines etc.)
  • Actively monitor Business Continuity management milestones and deliverables and partner with technology and BCM stakeholders in completing and reporting of each BCM milestone.
  • Involved in reporting generation concerning the adequacy and effectiveness of BCM milestone processes to Enterprise BCM team as well as Technology management team.
  • Provide support for any required testing under Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) policies, Financial Process Controls (FPC) and Operational Process Controls (OPC) for PBDFST as well as Quarterly Key Process Controls.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in developing, planning, and executing BCM Milestones. You have 2-3 years of experience years working in the business continuity or financial industry.
  • Strong communication writing skills and report preparation, including executive communications.
  • Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business trade-offs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty; proactively identify and solve complex problems impacting management and business direction.
  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize against many competing interests in an environment of constant change.
