Description:
Our Prudential Risk team work with a wide range of stakeholders across Macquarie’s senior management, business and support groups to ensure they meet their regulatory obligations to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), and manage key non-financial risks including operational resilience, cyber, technology and data.

What role you will play?
In this role you will provide advice to Macquarie’s business and support groups on APRA’s requirements and expectations and review and evaluate new business initiatives ensuring compliance with the applicable prudential standards including CPS 230 and CPS 234. You will deal with relevant banking regulation and enable compliance with prudential rules in relation to operational resilience, cyber, technology or data risk.
What you offer
- Previous experience in a risk management role within banking and financial services or consulting
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse set of business and risk stakeholders to build strong working relationships
- Strong problem solving skills with a positive and constructive approach to solutions
- Previous experience working with APRA or other regulatory requirements relating to operational resilience, cyber, technology or data risk is advantageous.

About the Risk Management Group
In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
