this is an on-site role at our Capenhurst office, CH1 6ES
About the role:
Undertake a standard range of analytical chemistry techniques, as trained and approved, on insulating fluids in accordance with documented procedures and to meet laboratory delivery timeframes and quality objectives.
Perform day to day analysis in the sample order instructions prescribed by the laboratory supervisor and in accordance with the LIMS, including Urgent Sample delivery and periodic call out.
What we’ll need from you:
- HNC/HND (or City & Guilds equivalent) in Chemistry or related subject is required
- Degree in Chemistry or related subject is preferred
- A good understanding of Health & Safety regulations, COSHH requirements, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 operational practices and relevant chemistry
- PC Skills, in particular Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to plan and maximize laboratory outputs
- Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and carry out tasks in a prescribed fashion and without deviation
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Able to demonstrate a proactive approach to continued improvement.
For the more experienced analyst:
- Proven industrial or laboratory experience in analytical chemistry
- Understanding of high voltage electrical assets
