Job Description

  • Ensure Timely Flow of Materials to / for Analytical Department
  • Perform daily Balance Verifications
  • Prepare samples in a fast paced environment for high throughput analysis
  • Perform basic analysis and document data in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to fulfill external and/or internal requests
  • Operate equipment for the following analytical techniques: melting point (MP), UV absorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), polarimetry, Karl Fischer titration, halide titration and TGA
  • Assist with packaging sensitive compounds for Finished Goods under appropriate conditions
  • Perform basic quality control inspections during the packaging of critical compounds through visual inspection and/or NMR analysis under supervision
  • Assisting with other duties (e.g. sample preparation, KIT preparation, sending out samples) as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma in Chemical Technologies or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and time management.
  • Strong project management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-starter; task oriented with ability to run multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good at handling stress and exceptional organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing deadlines and modifications to workflow and expectations
  • Tactile and good with detailed work
  • Ability to work on a team and achieve results in a team environment
  • Knowledge and experience in organic chemistry and techniques employed in the science of spectroscopy and separation would be an asset
